New rebar connection system Stabox® F

The Stabox® F rebar connection boxes are used to simplify formwork at construction joints in reinforced concrete construction. This rebar connection system combined with Fradiflex metal waterstop provides a sealed joint solution especially for T-wall connections exposed to high static loads.

Where reinforcement bars with Ø ≤ 14 mm cross a construction joint then rather than have them protrude through the formwork they can be integrated as bent bars in the Stabox® case. The Stabox® can be installed in the first concrete pour and after stripping the reinforcement bars can be rebent out of the case to provide a lap length for the continuing reinforcement in the correct position.

The integrated coated Fradiflex metal water stop guarantees an uninterrupted seal of the construction joint, e.g. between base and wall. Fradiflex metal waterstop can also be used for sealing against hydraulic pressure up to a permanently acting hydrostatic pressure of 2 bar (20 metre high water column). Functional testing was successfully carried out at a hydraulic pressure of 5 bar (a general test report of the construction supervising authorities is available).
